Breaking Sound Barriers: Our CEO Malury Imbernon Featured in Shoutout Miami

We're thrilled to share that our CEO Malury Imbernon was recently featured in Shoutout Miami, where she opened up about her inspiring journey in the music industry. Despite growing up in a family deeply rooted in the medical field—her father being a successful healthcare entrepreneur—Malury found herself naturally gravitating toward creative expression, as "music and arts resonated with my soul in ways that medicine never could." Her decision to pursue a creative career was driven by the realization that if she was going to dedicate her life to work with the same commitment she witnessed from her father, it should be in a field that brings personal fulfillment while making a meaningful impact on others' lives.

Malury's journey began in Venezuela, where she studied audio engineering before relocating to the US to pursue Media Arts and Animation. After completing an internship at a prominent recording studio in Venezuela, she and her current business partner established their first modest studio in her home garage. As Venezuela's political climate deteriorated, she made the difficult decision to leave, foreseeing limited opportunities for private enterprises in that environment. This bold move led to the establishment of Heiga Studios in the United States, where they secured a warehouse in Fort Lauderdale and eventually expanded to their current 3,200-square-foot facility in Downtown Miami.

Today, Heiga Studios works directly with major labels such as Sony Music, Warner, and Universal, while leading creative and production processes for high-profile clients including Burger King, Popeyes, and Tim Hortons. Their engineering accomplishments include "Loud: The History of Reggaeton," a #1 global podcast produced by Spotify. The company takes immense pride in operating as an independent, woman-owned studio with sponsorships from brands like Roland and IK Multimedia. Even when faced with significant challenges, such as when their historic Huntington Building was abruptly closed by the Fire Department for two years, the team adapted and diversified their services, ultimately emerging stronger than before.

"My spiritual foundation has been my greatest source of strength throughout my journey. The book that transformed my perspective is Zhuan Falun, the principal text of Falun Dafa, which teaches cultivation of mind and body through the principles of Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance, complemented by gentle exercises and meditation. These principles serve as my compass in both personal and professional endeavors."
