At Heiga Studios, we've had the privilege of working with countless talented artists, but few experiences have been as memorable as our collaboration with the multi-talented Jordi Mollà. Known internationally as an accomplished actor, painter, and musician, Mollà brought his creative vision to our recording studio in an unexpected and beautiful way.
Recording "Jordi Mollà Volume 1 & 2"
During his time at Heiga Studios recording his albums "Jordi Mollà Volume 1" and "Volume 2," we witnessed firsthand the artistic genius that has made Mollà a celebrated figure across multiple creative disciplines. His musical project showcased the same passion and attention to detail that has defined his career in film and visual arts.
An Unexpected Artistic Collaboration
While Mollà was working on his music, word of his presence at our studio reached César, a representative from Gibson Guitars who happens to be a devoted admirer of Mollà's painting work. César approached us with a special request: would Jordi be willing to create custom artwork on Gibson guitars?
The response exceeded everyone's expectations. Not only did Mollà graciously agree to paint guitars for Gibson, but he surprised us by requesting additional instruments to create something truly special for Heiga Studios as well.
A Lasting Legacy at Heiga Studios
Jordi Mollà painted four guitars in total during his residency:
One custom piece for Gibson Guitars
One specially created for Heiga Studios (completely unexpected!)
One for his personal collection
One as a gift for his nephew
Where Art and Music Converge
The guitar that Mollà painted for Heiga Studios now holds a place of honor at the entrance of our recording facility, professionally framed and displayed for all visiting artists and clients to admire. This one-of-a-kind piece serves as a daily reminder of the magic that happens when different art forms intersect.
The painted Gibson guitar represents more than just a beautiful piece of art—it embodies the collaborative spirit and creative energy that defines the Heiga Studios experience. It's a testament to how music production can inspire unexpected artistic moments and forge lasting connections between artists across different mediums.
